Champoluc, set at the top of the Ayas Valley, is part of the Monte Rosa ski area, covering three valleys, and connecting the village of Champoluc to Gressoney and in turn Gressoney to Alagna Valsesia. Surrounded by the dramatic peaks of the Monte Rosa mountain chain, the modern lift system allows you to explore a wide area. Perhaps best suited to intermediate skiers, Champoluc offers a variety of terrain, from wide open glades to tracks that wind their way through wooded slopes. More advanced skiers will find a range of challenges from the moguls of Sarezza and the opportunity to heli-ski (in the spring). Amazing for a “sporty” winter wedding!
And for the wedding reception, why not enjoy the charming “après-ski” atmosphere: informal and very friendly, you will find that much of the entertainment is hotel-based, even though Ayas and Champoluc are not short of typical, traditional restaurants and taverns.
