Chantal and AJ

In the Florence hillside

A world heritage site to say your I dos

We started working for this lovely young couple and their destination wedding in Italy, and presented them with a selected list of traditional venues to fit their wedding mood. Their group consisting of about 90 guests helped them make a decision between a few large villas in the Tuscan hills.

It was clear that one particular villa struck a chord on our bride and groom, especially because the location is still full of life, busy with traditional practices like wine and oil making from the very generous land stretching out on the surrounding hills. Not to mention that the villa comes with quite a variety of optional recreational areas, perfect to arrange for a stay-in weekend event with some of the guests staying onsite.

The vision

Chantal and AJ's notes

The idea behind this weeding weekend was focused around giving the guests - and the future newlyweds - the most authentic experience of their time in Italy. Keeping details more linear in order for the architectural frame to shine bright and ensuring guests would feel 100% the real soul of this country, down to the last drop of olive oil.

Aurora was head down planning the  welcome dinner in the highly-rated restaurant situated on the property grounds where local produce is used to celebrate Tuscan traditional cuisine and wow the guests. For this part of the wedding weekend, the vision was again focused on simple elegance and love for the tradition.

The action plan

How did we pull it off

This wedding was a blast, that lasted until the very early hours of Sunday. Blessed by an exceptionally warm weather for mid October, the ceremony and details put together under the guidance of Chantal left us and the guests in full admiration. What a beautiful idea it was to add the tea ceremony before the ceremony was held, and remember a tradition which was important for our bride.

The food took everyone by surprise, even with their high expectations. We could feel that we were really delivering an authentic good time to the wedding party and compliments poured in fast, which made us extremely happy and proud.

Thanks to this special couple of humans who reminded us how lucky we are to live in a country built on a golden past and which keeps its beautiful traditions alive.
