A 16th century princely abode bearing a strong resemblance to a fortified construction, is in fact an authentic example of classic architectural residence, set in great harmony with the natural surroundings of the Collio wine district, made of ancient cypresses and graceful vineyards. The notable Rocca comes with a rich heritage which adds to the feeling and beauty of this fabulous venue.
Showing off with its imposing presence, the castle never played a military role and was designed exclusively as a country residence in a panoramic location.
Features
On the Noble floor, there's a choice of a couple of ballrooms where wedding receptions can be arranged for groups of around 60 guests. The outdoor garden is also another viable option for 60-70 guests, from where you can stare out at of the most beautiful views of the region. The old wine cellars are an alternative for larger wedding dinners, with enough room for 150 guests.
Accommodation and other useful tips
The castle offers no accommodation, but nearby establishments amongst which castles, farmhouses, villas and hotels can accommodate you and your guests.
Civil wedding ceremonies can be arranged in Udine, Cividale or Gorizia, at 30 minutes drive from the location, while catholic ceremonies can be officiated in one of the many lovely churches of the area.
