All the way from the land of the Celts came this powerful couple, Orla and Neal. Both sharp business people with a shared passion for cooking, we knew that they were looking for a sensational way to celebrate their love, in Italy. Needless to say, most of our partnering venues have that wow effect on outsiders, but there is a certain 'exclusive list' that we reserve to those who have no budget restrictions. It was time we took out that list for our new couple.
Orla was adamant to have one ceremony only, and that being the official one. Here's an important detail that most couples ignore - the civil venues available in Italy to host a ceremony outside of Town Halls are very few. Thankfully, some regions are more flexible on this matter and release the licenses to specific local venues and villas, and this is the case of Villa del Balbianello on Lake Como.
Turning dreams into reality
The ceremony was tasteful and full of emotion. The loggia amplified the musical notes echoeing from the strings of a harp, for an undeniable caress of romance. There are tons of famous shots of this villa taken for films, or commercial ads, and just as many celebrities that left their footprints here.
This is an incredible location that proved once more the sense of wonderment attached to an Italian event. The meticolous care to each detail, down to the size of the dessert cutlery, the distance of the wine and water glasses from the plates, and the minutes separating each course form the founding layer of a successful event.
This villa is for that much extra special you are looking for. And this was exactly at the core of Orla and Neil's vision.
